Terrence (Terry) Pershall is a long time resident of the Monterey Bay area and resides in Carmel Valley where he works as a real estate broker for Sotehbys International Real Estate. Terrence started his career with First American Title Ins Co immediately after college and has worked as an escrow officer, branch manager, escrow supervisor and County Manager as well as a mortgage broker and real estate broker . Terrence worked as office manager for Santa Cruz Properties and was a broker/owner of Capitola Realty.
While pursuing his career in the title industry and real estate profession he also pursued his passion for food and wine by working part time in the wine industry and took a 4 year break from real estate serving as national sales manager for Storrs Winery in Santa Cruz. Learning much about the winemaking process and all things wine he has used that knowledge to specialize in vineyard sales and wineries in his real estate career.
Terrence has always been a believer in giving back to the community in which he lives. He spent years volunteering for the St Francis Soup Kitchen in Santa Cruz and in 1995 he co-founded the Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group which host 2 events per year that raises money for cancer research and funds local cancer support groups such as Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Assn, Katz Cancer Research Center, WomenCare, Hospice of Santa Cruz and more. To date this organization has distributed over $2.0 million to these groups as well as cancer research at UCSC. Currently Terrence is serving as President of the Carmel Valley Angel Project which hosts an annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner and a Holiday Store for families who need a little help at Christmas time.
An avid rider (horse) Terrence participates in the annual Salinas Valley Hospital Foundation’s Trail Ride which allows him to play cowboy for a weekend as well as support community health care for the surrounding area. He also enjoys gardening at his home in Carmel Valley with his life partner Andrea (Andy) and hiking in Big Sur as well as skiing and biking.
He has a daughter and twin grandchildren who live in Tahoe and two stepsons.
